Summary: The Software Test Engineer role at a leading aerospace and defence company involves testing software for modem products and communication systems. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on satellite communications Software Defined Radio (SDR) modems. The contract is for an initial 12 months with a possibility of extension, requiring a hybrid working arrangement with three days on-site in Portsmouth. Candidates must have the ability to obtain SC Clearance and possess relevant technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test software aspects of modem products and associated communication systems.
- Design and implement integration tests in an embedded environment.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
- Utilize Robot Framework as an automation tool.
- Manage software configuration control using Git.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Robot Framework.
- C++ software engineering experience on Linux platforms.
- Ability to architect, document, and implement integration tests.
- Active SC clearance.
- Experience in an embedded environment.
