Summary: The role of Software Engineer involves contributing to a priority project within the Business Systems area of a public sector organization based in Dalkeith/Glasgow. This position is initially for a 6-month contract, offering a competitive daily rate and primarily allows for remote work with occasional travel to the office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, particularly in Java and related technologies.

• Work with the existing team to supplement the delivery of a priority project within the Business Systems area.

Key Skills:

• Minimum 5+ years in all required disciplines.
• Qualified to minimum degree level in associated discipline.
• Well versed in Iterative (Scrum) delivery methodologies.
• Experienced Java/OpenRoad Developer.
• Working knowledge of Java SE 5/6, Shell Scripting, Linux 2.6 x.y, Linux Shell Scripts, Jboss 4 & 6, Azure Dev Ops, GIT.
• Unit and Integration testing.
