Summary: The role of Small Works Project Manager involves managing new projects and delivering reactive and lifecycle projects for a large service provider in the healthcare sector, specifically within a cluster of hospitals in Kent. This position is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent employment, based in Dartford. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, managing project budgets, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing specifications and drawings for works to meet customer requirements.
- Obtaining quotes from contractors and ensuring all budgets and fees are agreed.
- Ensuring all work complies with CDM/Planning/Building Control regulations.
- Obtaining Landlords Consent and engaging with architects and planners.
- Managing project budgets and validating/approving contractors and consultants' invoices.
- Ensuring minimum disruption during works and managing Health and Safety effectively.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and contractors, including regular travel and overnight stays.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience of project management on a variety of property projects.
- Evidence of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Good knowledge of Building Regulations/Planning/CDM.
- Ability to plan and manage own workload to achieve deadlines.
- I.T. literate and proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Microsoft Vision.
- Experience in Facilities Management, Surveying, or Construction Project Management.
- HNC/HND in an appropriate discipline.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Trade or Building Services Design qualifications.
- Clean Current Full UK Driving Licence.
