Summary: The ServiceNow Data Analyst role involves identifying and tracking data requirements, collaborating with data architects, and validating technical solutions to ensure compliance with data needs. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders to manage processes and document changes across multiple projects. The analyst will also support data discrepancy analysis and coordinate project milestones. A strong background in data analysis and experience with ServiceNow is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and actively tracking data requirements from functions managing, producing, consuming, assuring, and monitoring compliance of the data.
- Collaborating with data architects to identify technical implementation options.
- Validating recommended options meet data requirements.
- Serving as a liaison with the functions requiring the data to assess the impact of the technical solutions.
- Supporting the analysis of data discrepancies between various systems against cross functional data requirements including data lineage analysis.
- Coordinating with other team members to reach project milestones and deadlines.
- Creating, presenting, updating, and recording data artifacts.
- Working with business partners, functional/support group partners, stakeholders for process management and assurance, policy stakeholders, systems owners, system management platform owners, and data architects.
- Prioritizing work and driving milestones to timely execution.
- Raising issues, risks, and concerns timely and appropriately to stakeholders.
- Documenting and tracking change control milestones and tasks for multiple projects and programs.
- Developing an effective network of relationships across technology divisions with their data management subject matter professionals.
- Collaborating with programs for effective integration, deployment, and adoption of new architectures.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a data analyst.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to read technical material (e.g., scripts, configuration files).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with ServiceNow with understanding of the CMDB/AMDB data model.
- Experience with data architecture and data lineage analysis.
- Knowledge of data center and IT inventory equipment.
