Summary: The Principal Service Consultant - Service Design is tasked with designing, implementing, and enhancing IT service management processes in line with ITIL best practices. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to ensure IT services are efficient and aligned with business objectives. The position necessitates DV clearance and is available to sole British nationals only. The role is primarily on-site in either Farnborough or Bristol, with one day of remote work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize IT service strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Work closely with business units, technical teams, and external vendors to meet service requirements.
• Track service performance metrics, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure services meet regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
• Advocate for continuous improvement in service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to automate service processes and enhance efficiency.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification (mandatory); ITIL Intermediate or Expert preferred.
• 3-7 years of experience in IT service management, service design, or consulting roles.
• Prior experience in large enterprise IT environments preferred.
• Experience holding high-level security clearance is advantageous.
