Summary: The Senior Treasury Analyst - Trade Finance at Subsea7 will be responsible for managing bank guarantees and providing expertise in trade finance. Key Responsibilities:

Subsea7 is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis in our Sutton, London or Westhill, Aberdeen office. The role will work in conjunction with the Senior Treasury Manager and is responsible for the issuance and maintenance of bank guarantees across the Subsea7 group. The Senior Treasury Analyst – Trade Finance will also take an active role in tenders, providing guidance and support for managing risks associated with bank guarantee solutions and working with the banks and sureties to issue the guarantee requirements for the group.
What will you be doing? Be recognised by relevant Businesses as the bank guarantee subject matter expert, to both identify and be approached on the topic. Provide guidance and support on the review of potential bank guarantee text (performance / bid bonds/advanced payment bond) at early engagement at tender stage of projects with the global business and working with the banks. This will include:
- Reviewing and providing advice on appropriate bank guarantee wording to tender teams and subsequently the client.
- Identifying and engaging with suitable banks and sureties reviewing guarantees on providing feedback and pricing.
- Provide advice on Contracts in relation to bank guarantees. Including the appropriate cost inclusion for new project tenders.
- Arrange for the issuance of new bank guarantees in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining the global guarantee register.
- Maintain proactive communications with businesses and project teams to identify and implement required amendments / extensions / cancellations of existing bank guarantees.
- Provide cost of bank guarantees to the businesses.
- Own the bank guarantee fee payment process.
- Assist and support on forecasting the global requirements of bank guarantees and strategy across the group.
- Assist on implementing or amending facilities with relationship banks/sureties.
- Assist in developing, testing and implementing process improvements to automate the guarantee process and activities such as implementation of a trade finance system.
- Review other trade finance matters such as receivables financing or supply trade financing.
- Provide guidance and support in other treasury matters such as perform client and supplier creditworthiness assessments and ensure maintenance of internal credit risk registers.
- Align business processes in the region with the Group Treasury Guidelines for best practice.
