Summary: iO Associates is seeking 6 Senior Test Engineers for a UK government department to support a 2-year programme. Candidates should have strong Agile experience and a solid understanding of the GDS framework. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days per week onsite in either London, Leeds, or Glasgow, starting in September 2025. The position is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of a 2-year programme for a UK government department.
- Work within Agile environments, utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Engage in software testing and ensure quality assurance processes are followed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively throughout the project.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in software testing within Agile environments.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured).
- Familiarity with source control tools (e.g. Git) and branching strategies.
- Comfortable working in TDD/BDD environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS, Azure) and containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Salary (Rate): £600 daily

Essential Skills & Experience:
