Senior Structural Engineer

Summary: Petrofac is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer on a contract basis for a duration of 6 months in Aberdeen, UK. The role focuses on providing technical expertise for structural design in the energy sector, including new infrastructure and modifications. The position is outside IR35 and invites engagement through Limited Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for structural design of new and modified infrastructure.
• Contribute to estimates for project work scopes.
• Participate in progress and planning meetings.
• Resolve technical queries and ensure design changes are captured by change control.
• Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets.
• Produce structural calculations and analysis.
• Participate in design and constructability reviews / HAZIDS.
• Check and approve discipline documents and conduct interdisciplinary checks.
• Interface with other disciplines, clients, and third parties on technical issues.
• Produce discipline documentation deliverables for work packs.
• Ensure compliance with engineering procedures, codes, and standards.
• Deliver survey reports, structural design calculations, and analysis reports.
• Provide input to project execution plans and basis of design documents.
• Assist in scope communications through presentations and sketches.
