Summary: As a Senior Software Engineer on a 12-month contract in Wrexham, you will engage in hands-on coding across the Atom5 platform while working in an agile environment. Your role involves developing features based on sprint priorities, mentoring team members, and staying updated with industry advancements. You will also explore new technologies and frameworks to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in hands-on coding across all parts of the Atom5 platform.
- Develop features according to the sprint priority plan in an agile manner.
- Collaborate with the team, sharing and reviewing ideas, and mentoring members.
- Stay updated with industry trends, languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Explore the inner workings of tools and libraries to enhance understanding.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable understanding of best practices in software engineering.
- Good communication skills for stakeholder and team interactions.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Java or Javascript/Typescript).
- Experience with core platform frameworks and libraries: Spring Boot, ReactJS, ReactNative, Docker.
- Familiarity with Linux environment.
- Ability to write clean code and prioritize user experience and security.
