Summary: The Senior Site Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating infrastructure projects, specifically in Highways and Rail, for a Civil Engineering contractor in Dewsbury. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required.
- Maintain necessary controls and records related to engineering activities.
- Complete requisition for materials and check goods received.
- Maintain survey instruments and keep accurate records.
- Check setting out information and establish dimensional control.
- Check and record control points.
- Coordinate temporary works and falseworks, including installation and dismantling checks.
Key Skills:
- Experience in Highways (essential).
- LEICA experience.
- CSCS Card.
- A H&S Qualification (ideally SMSTS) is desirable.

Immediate start - 12 month contract Procter Street is delighted to be working with a North-West based Civil Engineering contractor looking to add a dynamic Senior Site Engineer to their team, covering an infrastructure project in, Dewsbury. Working as part of the site management team, you'll work alongside and liaise with clients, project managers, engineers, planners and design managers. We are ideally seeking a Senior Site Engineer with a proven track record in managing and coordinating Highways and Rail projects.
Job Overview: The Senior Site Engineer will be assigned the responsibility for ensuring that all instruments and equipment are kept in good condition and calibrated at the specified frequencies. They will ensure that the necessary controls and records are maintained in relation to the engineering activities defined. The following activities shall be carried out by a site-based person under the control of the Site Manager:
- Complete requisition to buying for materials then checking of goods received.
- Maintain Survey Instruments and keep records
- Check Setting out information
- Establish primary and secondary dimensional control
- Check and record control points
- Temporary Works and Falseworks Coordination including check install and Dismantle Temporary Works / Falseworks.
What are we looking for? Experience in Highways (essential) LEICA experience CSCS Card. A H&S Qualification is desirable (ideally SMSTS). To be competent to carry out on site management tasks you are required to do.
