Summary: Propel Finance is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist for a 4-month fixed-term contract in Newport, Wales, to lead the selection and implementation of a new core business system. Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement strategy & planning for system selection

  • Supporting project delivery alongside the Programme Manager

Key Skills:

  • 7–10+ years in strategic procurement, especially around enterprise software selection
  • Deep understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and vendor negotiation
  • Experience in financial services (asset finance a strong plus)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and project delivery skills
  • Ideally MCIPS-qualified

4 Month Fixed Term Contract Newport, Wales - Hybrid Propel Finance was established in 1996 to provide flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the country. From this continued success we are now looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract to allow us to continue our exciting growth plans and lead the selection and implementation of a new core business system. This is a critical project aimed at streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and supporting the company's ambitious growth strategy. The successful candidate will operate in a consultancy capacity, providing expert guidance and support to the programme, and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and securing the best possible value.
