Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
  • Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team.
  • Direct and mentor more junior designers and graduates.
  • Prepare design risk assessments, reports, and specifications.
  • Carry out mass balance, process sizing, and hydraulic calculations; prepare process flow diagrams, control philosophies, and commissioning strategies.
  • Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional, and water company standards.
  • Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
  • Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
  • Estimate hours required for design packages.
  • Attend and present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM meetings, and similar.

Key Skills:

  • Proven relevant design experience in the regulated water industry.
  • Experience and understanding of wastewater unit processes and treatment plants.
  • Graduate, HND, or significant experience from Technician level.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Results-focused.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Chartered engineer (preferred).
  • Experience with both clean water and wastewater.
  • Experience of HAZOP studies ideally as HAZOP chair.
  • Driving licence & access to a vehicle.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a seasoned Process Engineer to join one of our key clients, who operate within the Water industry. As Senior process Engineer, you’ll play a key role in leading & supporting a range of UK based water projects of various sizes, from concept/Feed to commissioning.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
  • Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

  • Proven relevant design experience in the regulated water industry
  • Experience and understanding of wastewater unit processes and treatment plant, with experience of delivering process design for wastewater projects
  • Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level
  • Good level of IT
  • Strong communication skills
  • Results focused
  • Strong Technical Knowledge

It’s great if you also have the following

  • Chartered engineer
