Summary: This role is for a Financial Crime Compliance Officer within a prestigious insurance group, focusing on anti-money laundering (AML) and financial compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Investigating suspicious transactions and preparing reports for the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
- Reviewing and documenting decisions on name screening and transaction monitoring alerts
- Coordinating anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) due diligence on third-party vendors
- Advising business units on AML, sanctions, and ABC compliance matters
- Conducting internal compliance reviews related to AML/CTF, sanctions, and ABC
- Supporting audits and regulatory inspections by gathering relevant documentation
- Participating in ad hoc compliance projects and initiatives
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of AML/CTF, sanctions, and ABC regulations
- Experience in financial crime compliance within insurance or financial services
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and broader APAC region is a plus
