Senior Network Engineer - Scotland Based - (Outside IR35 - 6 Month Contract)

Summary: The Senior Network Engineer role is a 6-month contract position based in Scotland, with potential for extension. The position is classified as outside IR35 and requires a hybrid working arrangement, involving travel to sites in Scotland 2-3 days per week. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and handover of Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including next-generation Firewalls and Prisma Access cloud security services.
• Configure and deploy Palo Alto Firewalls in line with the merged entity's security architecture and compliance requirements.
• Support and enhance the deployment of Cisco Firepower and Cisco ASA Firewalls across the enterprise.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise Cisco Routing & Switching infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and high availability during and after the merger.
• Produce and deliver detailed documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, configuration guides, and operational handover materials for ongoing support teams.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and escalation support throughout the project life cycle.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including Firewalls and Prisma Access.
• Experience with Cisco Firepower and Cisco ASA Firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching infrastructure.
• Ability to produce detailed technical documentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and escalation skills.
• Experience in a merger or acquisition environment is a plus.

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join on an initial 6 month contract with scope for long-term extension - Outside IR35!

Key Details: Duration: 6 months - Extension scope
Location: Hybrid (Travel to Scotland-based sites needed 2-3 days per week)
Rate: Up to £500 Per day - Outside IR35
