Summary: The role of Senior Java Developer involves hands-on development within a global Front Office technology team at an investment bank, focusing on the Equity Swap business. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and support a Real Time event-driven system for the Equity Swap business.
• Modernize and enhance existing systems to handle increased data volumes and business event processing.
• Work in a complex Real Time Linux-based environment using multi-threaded Java.
• Collaborate with the global Front Office technology team to deliver high-performance solutions.

Key Skills:

• Java Server Side Concurrent Programming with Spring Boot (Core Spring), Junit.
• Understanding of message-based architectures (MQ/Kafka).
• Proficiency in RDBMS (Sybase and/or DB2) and complex SQL queries.
• Unix/Linux Scripting (Shell/Python).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with MongoDB, cloud offerings (Azure/AWS), and knowledge of the Equity Derivative business is desirable.
