Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled infrastructure leader with extensive experience across VMware, Microsoft, and Linux ecosystems. This role blends deep technical expertise with operational leadership, supporting enterprise-grade virtualization, cloud, and server platforms. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national and hold or be eligible for high-level UK government security clearance (DV).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support in infrastructure services, responding to complex issues and inquiries
  • Deliver L3 support for VMware environments: vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T/V, VCF, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
  • Administer Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and troubleshoot OS-level issues, containers, and automation
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft platforms including Azure, SCCM/Intune, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Windows Server
  • Support VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and Aria Suite tools (vRealize Operations, Automation, Log Insight)
  • Assist in the implementation of infrastructure projects and initiatives, executing assigned tasks
  • Continuously monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the team to improve infrastructure efficiency and resolve technical challenges
  • Participate in the development of infrastructure documentation, including incident reports and configuration details
  • Apply deep technical knowledge and critical thinking to address complex infrastructure-related problems
  • Follow established best practices and standards in infrastructure service delivery

Youll manage complex incidents, drive automation, and ensure platform resilience across hybrid environments. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national and hold or be eligible for high-level UK government security clearance (DV). Please note we can consider candidates from both Erskine or Newcastle locations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide expert technical support in infrastructure services, responding to complex issues and inquiries
