Summary: The Senior Analyst role is a fixed-term contract within the Finance Technology & Transformation team, focused on delivering accurate financial reporting to support Senior Stakeholders in understanding financial positions against budgets and forecasts. The position involves collaboration with Finance and Business Leads to manage accruals, ensure compliance with accounting guidelines, and provide insightful monthly reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial applications to drive automation and improve controls. The successful candidate will also support vendor management and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management reporting information for cost centre managers, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
  • Review P&L transactions to ensure that costs are coded in line with budgets ensuring the correct allocation between recurring and non-recurring.
  • Analyse variances between actual, budgeted and forecasted costs, investigating reasons for discrepancies.
  • Support cost centre managers to develop and manage their Annual Budgets and forecasts, utilising standard budgeting templates.
  • Responsible for updating the consolidated resource plan forecast for areas under your remit.
  • Working closely with Finance Leads on the calculation of monthly accruals for the Global Technology HUB including intercompany recharge accrual journals, ensuring the accurateness of the invoices received and advising accounts payable on the coding of the invoices.
  • Support the preparation of Global Technology Reporting ensuring actuals and forecast is mapped accurately to the Company domains and providing commentary on variances.
  • Support the financial aspects of the vendor management process, including Purchase Orders, Invoice payments and cost control.
  • Provide ad hoc financial insights and analysis to support decision-making by various stakeholders.
  • Support the team in implementing controls mechanism and finding continuous improvement to processes.
  • Other accounting administration duties may be assigned.

Key Skills:

  • Professional finance part or full qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or relevant degree.
  • 2+ years in a financial analyst role, with professional accounting and/or financial management experience.
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communications.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel skills to build financial models and automated reporting mechanisms.
  • Ability to quickly learn new Oracle Fusion and other financial applications.
  • Ability to take large data sets and effectively analyse and summarize into information.
  • Logical, self-motivated, and proactive with strong analytical skills.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and persistence.

Salary (Rate): £60,000.00
