Summary: The role of Senior Cyber Security Architectural Lead involves providing expert analysis and advice on information security risks and architecture within a defense industry context. The position requires collaboration with project teams to ensure compliance with security requirements and the development of effective security strategies. This is a fully on-site position for a 12-month contract in Aldermaston, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide analysis of risks to information systems to inform risk owners and project managers.
• Provide expert subject matter advice to CISO and IS management.
• Ensure IT projects receive timely technical security advice.
• Develop and apply the overall security architecture of the organization.
• Work with functions, projects, and the supply chain to assess sources of Information Risk.
• Determine how the overall security architecture applies to projects and advise on security requirements.
• Review solution designs for compliance with security architecture and requirements.
• Oversee IT Health Check and Vulnerability Assessments.
• Record and track assessments of information capability and projects.
• Provide technical risk assessment analysis.
• Develop the professionalism of Information Risk Management.
• Attend and manage project Security Working Groups as appropriate.

Key Skills:

• Strong cyber security architect experience.
• Familiarity with security tools.
• Experience in the defense industry.
• Hands-on experience with security applications and/or appliances.
• Security Architect skills.
• Good working knowledge of firewalls, DevOps, cloud, IDS, IPS, and endpoint detection.
• Experience in highly classified environments.
• Technical background.
• Experience is prioritized over qualifications.
