Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and commissioning of Protection & Control systems across SPEN projects from 132kV to 400kV substations.
- Lead the commissioning process for transformers, switchgear, and relays, ensuring compliance with SPEN standards and operational requirements.
- Interface with clients and contractors, providing technical guidance and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot issues during commissioning phases and implement effective solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including commissioning reports, test plans, and results.
Key Skills:
- SPEN Authorisation with experience in 132kV to 400kV Protection & Control systems.
- Minimum 3 years of experience commissioning transformers, switchgear, relays, and other substation equipment.
- Expertise in testing and commissioning systems such as line differential protection, distance protection, and transformer protection.
- Familiarity with the latest SPEN standards, safety regulations, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Willingness to travel across Central Scotland.
