Summary: The Senior Business Analyst role is a 12-month fixed-term contract within the Finance Department of a leading organization in the UK. The position focuses on delivering data-driven insights, financial analysis, and business partnering support to enhance financial reporting and streamline processes. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to optimize decision-making and support the Finance and Commercial teams. This hybrid role requires a strong analytical mindset and experience in financial modelling and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess store-level profitability and identify new store opportunities.
  • Provide property and store P&L analysis and offer financial support to Marketing and HR teams.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to enhance reporting tools and data analytics.
  • Prepare and submit Request for Funding (RF) documents and other financial reports.
  • Analyse sales performance and provide insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Support period-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for personnel costs.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities within existing financial processes and reporting structures.
  • Drive automation and system enhancements, reducing manual work and improving accuracy.
  • Support the Finance Department restructure, ensuring smooth transitions and effective reporting.
  • Build, maintain, and improve the sales bonus scheme, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor bonus calculations and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in finance, commercial analytics, or business partnering, with a strong track record in financial modelling and performance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Queries and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Experience in system enhancements and process automation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborative communicator with experience working alongside Finance, HR, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
