Summary: As a Senior Business Analyst at Boots Hearingcare, you will support the Finance and Commercial teams during a transformative period, focusing on financial modelling, performance analysis, and strategic reporting. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance profitability assessments and improve financial processes. You will also play a crucial role in automating reporting tools and supporting the restructuring of the Finance function. This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract with hybrid or remote working options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess store-level profitability and new store opportunities.
  • Provide property analysis, store P&L analysis, and financial support to Marketing and HR.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to enhance reporting tools and data analytics.
  • Build, maintain, and improve the sales bonus scheme, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyse sales performance and provide insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Support period-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for personnel costs.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities within existing financial processes and reporting structures.
  • Drive automation and system enhancements, reducing manual work and improving accuracy.
  • Support the Finance Department restructure, ensuring smooth transitions for reporting responsibilities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a finance, commercial analytics, or business partnering role.
  • Demonstrable background in building and maintaining financial models.
  • Experience in analysing performance across a multi-site or retail business (desirable).
  • Experience managing bonus or incentive schemes (desirable).
  • Familiarity with period-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including Power Query.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
  • Highly accurate and detail-focused with a strong grasp of financial integrity.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – proactive in identifying and improving processes.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and producing clear reporting outputs.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with automation tools and reporting system improvements (desirable).
