Summary: The Senior Accountant role is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on supporting the UK Finance team of a growing global private equity firm. The position requires a qualified accountant to manage core finance activities, including reporting, treasury management, and team support. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should possess strong technical skills and experience in finance, particularly within corporate or investment management settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly trial balances, management accounts, and month-end MI reporting packs
  • Support the preparation of quarterly group reporting submissions and Board packs
  • Prepare and submit quarterly regulatory returns for regulated entities
  • Assist with statutory financial statement preparation and year-end audit processes
  • Manage treasury-related activities, including cashflow forecasting and liquidity management
  • Invoicing and payment processing
  • General Partner share management
  • Debt facilities, drawdowns, and intercompany loans
  • Coach and support junior finance team members to ensure high-quality BAU delivery
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and enhancement of financial reporting controls and processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ finance experience, including approximately 2 years post-qualification
  • Prior experience within a corporate or investment management environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS, UK regulatory reporting, and statutory financial statements
  • Experience preparing management accounts, trial balances, and month-end reporting
  • Experience reviewing statutory accounts and supporting audit processes
  • Familiarity with SAP and Concur is advantageous
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach
