Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review secure application and network architectures.
- Identify security gaps and recommend controls.
- Oversee implementation of security measures.

- Work with and instruct developers and infrastructure engineers.
- Create high-level designs (HLDs) following security policies and best practices.
- Defend design choices at technical governance forums.

Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in security architecture.
- Strong foundation in AWS Cloud and on-premises Data Centres.
- Knowledge of network segmentation and vulnerability management.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, VPNs, and IAM.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CCM).

Fimatix are a leading Software Consultancy who specialise in working with HM Government. One of our HM Government clients has tasked us to recruit a Principal Technical Architect on a contract basis. This contract role is INSIDE IR35 and requires you to have current SC Clearance. We are currently seeking a Security Architect at Senior Manager level to join our team. The candidates will have at least 5+ years’ experience leading the architecture design of application and network security. The architect will design and review secure application and network architectures, identify gaps and recommend controls, oversee implementation, evaluate security technologies, and ensure compliance with security standards and regulation. This is a hands-on role, and the architect must be able to work with and instruct developers and infrastructure engineers and employ policies, standards, and best practice. Successfully obtaining clearance is a condition of employment. The position offers a mix of remote and onsite working in London The Security Architect will be a member of a small architecture team comprising application and infrastructure specialists. They will have experience and a strong foundation in the design of secure solutions on AWS Cloud and On-premises Data Centres (DCs). They will have experience in creating high-level designs (HLDs) following application and infrastructure security policies, standards and best practice. They will be able to defend design choices at technical governance forums (e.g., TDA).
