Summary: The role of Senior Configuration Analyst involves owning the CMDB and CSDM maturity for a technology group within the financial services sector. The position requires collaboration with product owners and service leads to enhance data reliability through discovery, service mapping, and portfolio management. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining a healthy CMDB and coaching delivery squads on ServiceNow best practices. This is a remote position based in the UK with an initial contract duration of three months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and maintain a healthy CMDB, mapping CIs to the latest CSDM standard.
- Drive Discovery and Service Mapping across on-prem and cloud estates.
- Lead remote workshops, translating requirements into clear blueprints.
- Set data-quality rules, monitor CMDB health, and resolve source conflicts.
- Coach delivery squads during sprints, sharing ServiceNow best practices.
Key Skills:
- Deep ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM delivery track-record (Discovery, Service Mapping, APM, SPM).
- Solid grasp of ITIL v3/4 and SACM governance.
- Broad infrastructure insight – servers, networks, load balancers, databases.
- Confident communicator with senior tech and non-tech stakeholders.

You’ll own CMDB and CSDM maturity for a fast-moving technology group in the financial services sector. Working with product owners and service leads, you’ll run discovery, service mapping and portfolio management that unlocks reliable data for Ops, SecOps and Finance.
