Security Architect - Risk Management, NIST, SABSA

Summary: The role of Security Architect focuses on implementing security architecture strategies and frameworks across the enterprise. The position requires collaboration with Enterprise Architecture to deliver effective solutions and assess cloud services while staying updated on industry regulations and emerging security threats. The architect will also evaluate the effectiveness of current security controls and technologies. This is a hybrid contract position based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture in the effective delivery of solutions
• Assess SaaS and IaaS cloud services and virtualization technologies and provide direction and input for the maturation of the Cloud Security Framework where necessary
• Keep informed of updated industry frameworks and regulations: GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF, SABSA
• Keep informed of new and emerging security threats & assess effectiveness of current controls
• Knowledge of Firewalls, IPS, DLP, proxies, SEIM, & endpoint protection software

Key Skills:

• Experience in security architecture and risk management
• Familiarity with NIST and SABSA frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and technologies
• Understanding of industry regulations such as GDPR and ISO 27001/2
• Proficiency in security technologies including Firewalls, IPS, DLP, proxies, SEIM, and endpoint protection
