Summary: The role of Security Architect involves working on a highly sensitive programme within a Joint Design Team, ensuring that Managed Service Provider designs meet stringent security standards and MOD requirements. This hands-on position requires DV clearance and entails both strategic and technical responsibilities in a secure environment. The successful candidate will report to the Security Lead and provide assurance and advisory services. The role is based on-site in Hampshire and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assure high-level and low-level designs produced by MSPs
- Review MSP security compliance tests, assessments, and evidence
- Assess and challenge security cases, risks, and design decisions
- Undertake formal security assessments in line with MOD and client standards
- Maintain and administer STREAM
- Provide clear, pragmatic security advice and guidance to the client and stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Security Architecture within secure or defence environments
- Strong background in security assessment and assurance
- Experience conducting security audits and compliance reviews
- Familiarity with MOD security frameworks, processes, and standards
- Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and delivery teams
- Active DV clearance is essential

We are seeking a DV Cleared Security Architect to join a Joint Design Team, working on a highly sensitive and mission-critical programme. Reporting directly to the Security Lead, you will play a key role in assuring that Managed Service Provider (MSP) designs and implementations meet the client's stringent security standards and MOD requirements.
This is a hands-on assurance and advisory role, operating at both strategic and technical levels within a secure environment.
The Role
Review and assure high-level and low-level designs produced by MSPs
Review MSP security compliance tests, assessments, and evidence
Assess and challenge security cases, risks, and design decisions
Undertake formal security assessments in line with MOD and client standards
