Summary: The Scrum Master for Risk Technology will play a pivotal role in leading Agile practices within a multi-disciplinary squad focused on transformation projects in the financial services sector. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively bridge the gap between the Product Owner and Scrum Teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework values and Agile methodologies. The role emphasizes coaching, mentoring, and facilitating project delivery while optimizing customer journey design and business processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, driving successful outcomes through effective stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape, scope and structure projects to create a platform for successful delivery, including the coordination of sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
- Work with the Product Owners to define customer journey vision and design, handle product backlogs and new requests, ensuring effective prioritisation.
- Manage and coordinate project deliveries, project resources, remove blockers and coach the scrum team on Agile practices.
- Work supportively and collaboratively with a complex stakeholder network, including business owners, multiple Tribes and Squads to ensure alignment and prioritisation where applicable.
- Coordinate Release Management & Deployment ensuring changes are communicated to users.
- Manage the QA process to ensure all changes are delivered to a high standard of quality.
- Deliver robust governance and risk management in line with bank policies, and maintained through the governance frameworks including 3rd party procurement.
- Monitor performance in terms of volumes and quality against plan and provide advice, guidance and recommend corrective action where necessary, to enhance performance and ensure consistency of approach.
- Ensure all activities is aligned to the strategy and core values thereby ensuring fair treatment of all customers.
Key Skills:
- Experience of working within financial services institution (Ideally Risk domain).
- Experience working in a scrum team and successfully delivering business projects in accordance with objectives.
- Understanding and application of project delivery including planning and tracking, risk and issue management, stakeholder management and organisational implementation in an Agile environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the scrum framework including tools and techniques.
- Effectiveness in leading, coaching and sharing best practice with colleagues.
- Ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Certified Scrum Master or working towards qualifying.
- Experience utilising project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services technology landscape.
- Ability to collect and analyse information to solve complex problems rationally and make decisions on time for enhanced productivity.
