Summary: The Scrum Master role involves facilitating Agile development processes within a consultancy engaged in a significant transformation program in the financial services sector. The position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of critical data initiatives. The Scrum Master will manage Scrum ceremonies, maintain the change backlog, and provide structured updates to stakeholders. This is a 6-month contract position classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the Agile development process, ensuring smooth delivery across multidisciplinary teams and supporting stakeholders throughout the change life-cycle.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Maintain the change backlog and ensure tasks are aligned with business priorities and deliverable.
- Provide clear and structured updates to stakeholders and project sponsors, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Product Owners to ensure alignment on milestones and business goals.
- Contribute to the technical development planning and decision-making, balancing time, cost, and risk.
- Identify, track, and help resolve technical risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs).
Key Skills:
- Certified Scrum Master with proven experience in Agile environments.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and deliver technical projects in complex settings.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
