Summary: The Scrum Master will guide and support a Network Infrastructure project within the financial services sector, focusing on embedding Agile methodologies and refining delivery processes. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, cybersecurity, and program leadership teams to ensure alignment across international teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Agile practices and a strong understanding of Jira and related tools. The position is hybrid, based in Manchester, and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full spectrum of Agile ceremonies—planning, refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor team members and stakeholders on Agile values and practices, promoting openness, ownership, and iterative delivery.
  • Configure and maintain Jira boards, projects, workflows.
  • Ensure user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria are well-articulated and aligned with program outcomes.
  • Support the organization’s ongoing Agile maturity journey; familiarity with SAFe is beneficial.
  • Work with engineering leads, architects, and security partners to coordinate release plans and milestones for the project.
  • Oversee sprint commitments.
  • Liaise with portfolio and program managers on capacity planning, forecasting, and long-range roadmaps.
  • Provide transparent reporting on progress using Jira and Agile metrics.
  • Collaborate with teams across security, networking, cloud, infrastructure, and compliance to maintain clarity around requirements and expectations.
  • Liaise between technical and nontechnical groups.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead, ideally within large, regulated environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies; SAFe certification is advantageous.
  • Strong practical experience working with Jira.
  • Ideally worked on Network or Infrastructure programmes of work.
  • Understanding of release processes, dependency management, and scaled Agile delivery techniques.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.
  • Ideally worked within FS, Banking or Insurance.

Salary (Rate): £70.00/hr

My client, within FS, are looking for an Agile Scrum Master to guide and support a Network Infrastructure project.
