Summary: The role of Freelance Solution Architect / Credit & Risk involves collaborating with an insurance partner in Brussels to design scalable IT solutions that support risk frameworks and credit decisioning. The position requires a strong background in technology architecture and a passion for driving success within an innovative team. The architect will play a key role in the IT transformation program, ensuring alignment with existing policies and standards. Proficiency in French or Dutch and English is essential for effective communication in this hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design IT solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure the proposed solution is in line with the existing policies and standards.
- Assess and select appropriate technologies and platforms.
- Create and maintain technical blueprints, diagrams, and documentation.
- Assist in business requirements gathering, negotiating, prioritising, documenting, analysing.
- Monitor the technical execution of projects from initiation to completion, in close collaboration with the project team.
- Advising project teams on best practices.
- Identifying risks in the regarding the technical solution and facilitate decisions in the evaluation of different solutions.
- Participate in architecture governance by contributing to the necessary governance processes or supporting existing governance boards.
- Work with other architects on enterprise architecture efforts.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in technology architecture roles in complex organisations.
- Service Oriented Architecture with in-depth knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, design patterns and applications design.
- Experience with Application Architect.

We are looking to speak to architects with a passion for driving success, looking to join an innovative team, where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of their IT transformation program.
We have been briefed on a mission to work closely with our insurance partner and technology stakeholders to design robust, scalable solutions that support risk frameworks, credit decisioning, and data-driven insights. Credit & Risk exposure is a non-negotiable to be considered for this program.
Logistics:
