Scientist – Protein Biochemistry | 12-Month Contract

We’re hiring on behalf of a leading biotech company focused on the design and development of transformative medicines. Their BioDesign Protein & Cell Engineering group is seeking a creative and self-motivated Scientist to support the development of antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates aimed at enhancing therapeutic oligonucleotide delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment at the interface of protein biochemistry and cellular engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Express antibodies in mammalian cells (shake flask cultures up to 3L)
• Generate stable cell lines and produce plasmids
• Use qPCR to assess gene knockdown in engineered cell lines and tissue lysates
• Evaluate antibody binding to targets using flow cytometry

Required Qualifications:

• Mammalian tissue culture experience
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• MS in Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience (a range of experience levels will be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CHO cell transient transfection and stable pool generation
• Large-scale expression or bioreactor handling
• Experience with qPCR or ddPCR
• Familiarity with immunoassays (MSD, ELISA), flow cytometry, and antibody purification
• Background in cell engineering or stable cell line development
