Summary: The role of Cybersecurity Certification Consultant involves supporting the development of security documentation in compliance with aviation standards AMC 20-42, ED-202A, and ED-203A. The consultant will focus on creating certification-specific artefacts and conducting various analyses within a highly regulated environment. Active SC clearance is essential for this position, which is remote with monthly on-site visits in Derby. The contract is for 4 months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Author and refine certification documentation in alignment with AMC 20-42, ED-202A, and ED-203A.
- Finalise the Security Verification & Validation (V&V) Plan, including defining verification activities.
- Conduct Vulnerability Analysis and produce structured documentation of findings.
- Perform Refutation Analysis on threat scenarios and underlying assumptions.
- Assess and interpret security-specific test results for certification purposes.
- Produce three core ED-202A artefacts: Product Cyber Security Management Plan (PCSecMP), Vulnerability Dossier, System Security V&V Strategy and Plan.
- Contribute to the Plan for Security Aspects of Certification Summary (PSecAC).
Key Skills:
- Active Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory.
- Proven experience with ED-202A and ED-203A standards in an aerospace or highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of AMC 20-42 guidance and certification expectations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering security documentation and certification artefacts.
- Background in systems engineering, cybersecurity V&V, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with refutation-based analysis techniques is a plus.
