SAP Technical Analyst

Summary: The SAP Technical Specialist at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) will provide expert-level technical guidance and support for SAP ECC and SRM systems, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, configuration management, and contributing to the strategic direction of ERP platforms. The specialist will also develop training materials and support future ERP transitions within a mission-driven organization serving over 2.7 million people. The position is fixed-term for 24 months, offering a competitive salary based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the go-to technical expert for SAP ECC and SRM systems across various modules.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex incidents, testing fixes, and overseeing configuration changes.
• Working closely with users and business leads to optimise SAP functionality and improve reporting.
• Managing technical audits, licensing requirements, and supporting compliance activities.
• Developing and delivering high-quality training materials and onboarding resources.
• Supporting organisational readiness for future ERP system transitions.

Key Skills:

• Experience in a senior SAP technical analyst role.
• Strong configuration and support knowledge across core SAP modules.
• Deep understanding of cross-module integration and dependencies.
• Experience developing documentation, training content, and test scripts.
• Proven experience with SAP role and authorisation management.
• Excellent communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Degree in IT or equivalent experience; relevant SAP certifications highly desirable.
• ITIL experience is also required.
