Summary: The SAP S4 HANA Programme Manager will lead the implementation of a large-scale S4 HANA programme for a global leader in academic and educational publishing. This role requires extensive experience in managing SAP life cycles and delivering complex projects while ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. The position is hybrid and classified as outside IR35, indicating a flexible working arrangement and favorable tax status for contractors. The successful candidate will be integral to shaping consulting solutions and managing project processes across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide teams on project processes and deliverables
• Shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable clients to meet changing needs
• Contribute to different phases of the consulting life cycle
• Oversee project processes and procedures; monitor productivity and performance of project team
• Manage all aspects of projects including deadlines, budget, and responsibilities
• Review and ensure adherence to project materials and methodologies
• Prepare and present program level reporting for senior leadership
• Develop, refine, and communicate tactical plans for responsibilities
• Ensure planning process is integrated with overall business plan
• Identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information
• Organize and prioritize steps to remedy situations
• Quantify costs, benefits, risks, and chances for success before recommending actions
• Communicate with vendors regarding expectations
• Participate in negotiating terms with vendors/3rd parties
• Conduct periodic reviews of work effort and progress

Key Skills:

• Experience in managing SAP life cycles including implementations, development, and support projects
• Experience as an SAP Functional and/or technical consultant in any module (nice to have)
• End to end knowledge of SAP Implementation & Support methodologies
• Managed at least 2 end-to-end SAP S4HANA implementations
• Understanding of SAP Functional areas and interdependencies between SAP modules and non-SAP systems
• Several years of project planning and relationship management of multiple workstreams
• Knowledge of effective planning techniques for operational, tactical, and strategic planning
• Ability to determine root causes of organizational problems and create alternative solutions
• Effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives
• Relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships
• Effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects
