Key Responsibilities:
- Provide BAU support for the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls to optimise network performance.
- Monitor network health, conduct diagnostics, and implement necessary changes to improve reliability and security.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve network issues and implement improvements.
- Assist in network configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
- Maintain documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a Network Engineer role, providing BAU support.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and other networking protocols.
- Cisco certifications (such as CCNA/CCNP) are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
