Summary: The SAP PP Consultant role involves supporting a global manufacturing organization during their S/4HANA implementation as a Super User and Floor Walker. The consultant will provide on-site assistance to production teams, ensuring they are proficient in the new system as they transition from a non-SAP legacy system. This position requires strong hands-on experience in SAP PP and excellent communication skills to facilitate user support and training. The contract duration is 5 months, with a hybrid working arrangement in the West Midlands, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert in SAP Production Planning (PP) within an S/4HANA environment.
- Provide on-site support to key users in Production departments (2-3 days per week).
- Walk the shop floor, proactively engaging with users to understand issues and offer Real Time support.
- Provide informal training and knowledge transfer on SAP PP processes and transactions.
- Demonstrate and explain standard S/4HANA PP functionalities, such as Production Orders, Bill of Materials (BOM), Work Centers, Routing, MRP, and Capacity Planning.
- Support users in understanding how SAP S/4HANA differs from their legacy production systems.
- Identify and resolve minor PP-related issues or escalate to the project team as needed.
- Contribute to user-friendly documentation and training materials.
- Ensure production teams are ready and confident for go-live in November.
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience in SAP PP configuration and user support.
- Proven experience working with SAP S/4HANA is essential.
- Deep knowledge of key SAP PP processes, including production order management, material requirements planning (MRP), and capacity planning.
- Previous experience in a super user or floor walker role during SAP implementations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and train end users.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to travel on-site to the West Midlands 2-3 days per week.
