Summary: The role of Finance SAP Business One/Central Functional Consultant involves leading the finance workstream for the implementation and optimization of SAP Business One financial modules. The consultant will be responsible for gathering business requirements, configuring financial modules, and ensuring compliance with business processes. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams to support data migration and provide post-implementation support. The role is contract-based, with a focus on a major transformation programme in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance workstream for SAP Business One implementation and optimisation.
- Gather and analyse business requirements related to finance and accounting.
- Configure SAP B1 financial modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Banking.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to ensure alignment with business processes and compliance standards.
- Support data migration, testing, training, and go-live activities.
- Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Functional Consultant with SAP Business One, specifically in finance modules.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in end-to-end SAP B1 implementations or upgrades.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Desirable: Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.
- Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-currency environments.
- Knowledge of local tax and compliance requirements in the UK or EU.
