Summary: The SAP Consultant role involves managing and supporting change management processes, incident management, and the administration of SAP environments, particularly focusing on SAP HANA. The position requires a structured approach to implement technical changes while ensuring high reliability and performance across multiple SAP instances. The consultant will also be responsible for defining best practices and understanding the technical architecture of the SAP landscape. This is a hybrid position based in Filton, Gloucestershire, on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup, run and support Change management and transport processes
  • Coordinate / Follow the end-to-end incident management
  • Monitoring and configuring the Basis settings, interface creation, DDIC changes
  • Administration and Monitoring of HANA landscape
  • Administer and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test and production)
  • Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimises risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance
  • Understand business processes and technical architecture of SAP landscape
  • Define/suggest SAP best practices and Golden Rules

Key Skills:

  • SAP development and functional support skills, with strong experience of SAP HANA
  • Proven consulting background in providing both technical delivery and operations on SAP technology
  • Experience in SAP system security parameters and related implementation processes to ensure system security permanently
  • Performance Tuning (functional and technical) – ability to analyse and fine tune existing systems
  • Knowledge on upgrades within SAP systems
