Summary: The SAN Storage SME – IT System Operations Specialist role involves providing expert-level support for SAN infrastructure within a leading investment bank's global Infrastructure Core team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support for SAN infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain enterprise storage systems, including RAID configurations, zoning, LUN provisioning, and replication.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to SAN fabric, storage arrays, and backup systems.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and database teams to ensure optimal storage performance.
  • Maintain documentation for storage architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of storage environments.
  • Provide on-call and out-of-hours support as required for critical incidents.

  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions (e.g. NDMP, Veeam, Commvault).

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to work out-of-hours when needed.
