Summary: The Salesforce Developer role is a one-year fixed-term contract based in Welwyn Garden City, requiring hybrid working with monthly team visits. The position focuses on developing innovative cloud-based applications to enhance business efficiencies while collaborating with Delivery Managers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development and agile methodologies, promoting best practices within the organization. This role encourages creativity and the exploration of new ideas to drive growth and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain responsibility for the design, development, unit, and integration testing of all new and existing code.
  • Develop and apply advanced Salesforce functionality to solve business problems and create customized solutions on the Force.com platform.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to leverage Salesforce, driving productivity gains for a Sales & Support team.
  • Understand Salesforce.com data model and create custom objects, junction objects, and other model items as needed.
  • Maximize the value from Salesforce and make decisions on in-built vs custom build solutions.
  • Continuously expand Salesforce knowledge and leverage new capabilities and features to meet business needs.

Key Skills:

  • Good knowledge around Salesforce Development and configuration experience.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Good integration experience, particularly with contact centre/financial/billing tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com platform.
  • Practical experience with Apex (triggers, batches, integrations, best practices).
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and coding standards.
  • Good understanding of declarative tools like Process Builder and Lightning Flows.
  • Knowledge of Lightning framework including Aura components, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Sales and Service clouds.
  • Salesforce Admin experience and exposure to Salesforce Lightning are nice to have.
  • Good knowledge and experience with deployment process in Salesforce (sandboxes, ANT tool, GIT, data loader, manual steps).
