Summary: The Salesforce Data Analyst role focuses on supporting a significant Enterprise Data transformation program, specifically in the migration of customer and CRM data from Legacy systems to Salesforce. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can analyze data structures, identify quality issues, and ensure data integrity throughout the migration process. This role is pivotal in enabling the business to leverage customer data for improved engagement and insights. The position is based in Southampton and involves an umbrella engagement for six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret customer data to support strategic objectives and CRM optimisation
  • Lead the analysis and documentation of existing ('as-is') Legacy CRM data structures, identifying data quality issues, duplication, inconsistencies, and transformation needs
  • Support the end-to-end data migration process - including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams to ensure accurate data migration into Salesforce
  • Perform data quality assessments and implement validation rules post-migration
  • Support data governance initiatives, including stewardship, ownership, and GDPR compliance
  • Partner with sales, service, and marketing teams to understand data needs and deliver insights
  • Contribute to UAT and validate data flows and integrations across platforms
  • Provide documentation and training to enable business adoption of new CRM data tools and processes

Key Skills:

  • Strong background as a Data Analyst, with a focus on customer and CRM data
  • Proven experience in data migration projects, particularly involving Legacy CRM systems and Salesforce
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, Python, and visualisation tools (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data models (Leads, Opportunities, Contacts, Accounts)
  • Experience with Snowflake is advantageous
  • Understanding of data governance, stewardship, and GDPR compliance
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and accessible way
  • Experience working in agile or project-based delivery environments

Are you a data-driven professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for turning customer data into actionable insight? We're looking for a Salesforce Data Analyst to support a major Enterprise Data transformation programme, playing a key role in the migration from Legacy systems to the new Salesforce platform.

As a Salesforce Data Analyst, you will support the successful delivery of our customer and CRM data strategy as part of a multi-year transformation. In the early phase of the project, you'll be responsible for documenting current ('as-is') data structures, analysing Legacy CRM systems, and identifying data quality issues and migration requirements.

You will work across multiple teams to ensure data integrity, support effective data governance, and drive data quality during and after migration. This role is essential in ensuring that customer data flows accurately into Salesforce, enabling the business to unlock valuable insights and improve customer engagement.
