Summary: The Salesforce Sr. Administrator is responsible for configuring and enhancing the Salesforce.com platform, managing user and license setups, and ensuring data quality. The role requires a proactive approach to platform enhancements and user support, along with strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders. The administrator will also participate in Agile methodologies and maintain technical documentation. A solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure/build new and enhanced functionality in the Salesforce.com platform using declarative solutions.
- Manage all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
- Implement Salesforce configuration changes including Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports.
- Understand basic triggers/Apex code knowledge.
- Manage sandbox environments and DevOps/release management.
- Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
- Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders.
- Communicate platform changes to end users and stakeholders.
- Manage data to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.
- Conduct proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer.
- Handle user support tickets and monitor user adoption.
- Provide new user and ongoing user training.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in walk-throughs/demos and reviews with the team as needed.
- Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.
- Participate in design and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues/defects.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud administration experience.
- 2+ years of Salesforce Experience Cloud & CPQ experience is a plus.
- Exposure to Scrum/Agile Product Development.
- Declarative customization skills including Visual Flow Builder, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Workflow rules, Reports, and Dashboards.
- Experience migrating data from source to Salesforce using Dataloader.
- Proactive attitude towards platform enhancements.
- Ability to design scalable, best practice solutions.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Strong ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and configuration best practices.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred.
- Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification preferred.
