Summary: The Risk Manager role involves overseeing risk management for a large-scale transformation project within the telecommunications sector. The position requires a hybrid working arrangement, primarily based in Reading, with occasional travel to Birmingham or Paddington. The contract is for an initial three months, with a daily rate of £650 inside IR35. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in risk management and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determining CTO's exposure to risk against its risk tolerance.
• Identifying emerging risk trends and assessing their impact on CTO's risk profile.
• Assessing control effectiveness in design and operation.
• Identifying arising internal control issues and concerns.
• Supporting the business in quantitative and qualitative risk assessments for financial planning.
• Facilitating management of issues and challenging management mitigation plans.
• Monitoring key risk indicators and forecasting based on past performance.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience as a Risk Manager.
• Ability to perform RCSA or CRSA.
• Understanding of technology, preferably in telecommunications.
• Experience in Operations and Conduct, with knowledge of financial or capacity aspects.
• Strong senior stakeholder and customer management skills.
• Strong analytical, risk aggregation, and restructuring skills.
• Willingness to undertake BPSS / SC clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to build strong business relationships across multiple locations.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry is desirable.
