Summary: The University of Sheffield is seeking a Research Associate in intelligent robotics for contact-rich manufacturing, focusing on developing advanced control and learning methods for robotic tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop standardised data architectures for intelligent robotics and AI research.
- Set up experimental platforms in simulation and real-world robotic systems.
- Develop intelligent algorithms for robotic execution of contact-rich manipulation tasks.
- Collaborate with project partners on use cases and demonstrator development.
- Write high-quality reports and contribute to academic publications.
- Prepare and deliver papers for conferences and journals.
- Plan and prepare for project deliverables in advance.
- Participate in team collaboration and present research findings.
- Contribute to the development of further research proposals.
- Carry out other duties as required.
Key Skills:
- PhD degree or equivalent experience in robotics, machine learning, or AI.
- Integration of sensors for advanced robotic perception.
- Proficiency in programming languages (C/C++, Python, Java, C#, MATLAB) and deep learning libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
