Summary: The Workday HCM Integration Lead/Developer is responsible for leading the development, testing, and management of integrations for Hampton Roads Transit’s Workday Implementation Project. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing integration workstreams, and ensuring data accuracy and security. The position requires extensive experience with Workday's integration tools and best practices, as well as the ability to mentor team members and facilitate knowledge transfer. The role also includes responsibilities for reporting, forms, security administration, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and report integration status to the project management team weekly.
- Develop integrations utilizing Workday's integration tools.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and internal resources to manage integration progress.
- Facilitate end-to-end integration testing with functional teams.
- Work with external vendors for requirements gathering and integration protocols.
- Transfer knowledge from implementation partner developers to internal resources.
- Develop reports using Workday Report Designer Tools.
- Assist in maintaining system configurations and workflows.
- Provide support for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Create documentation supporting system design, development, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:
The Workday Integration Lead/Developer primary responsibility will be to provide lead support,
development, testing and management of integrations Hampton Roads Transit s Workday
Implementation Project. Additional responsibilities to include reporting, forms, security administration,
monitoring and auditing.
Workday Integration Lead/Developer to lead/manage with implementation partner integration
workstreams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring data accuracy and security. To include
responsibility design, development, and maintenance of integrations between Workday and other
systems. Role requires a deep understanding and experience with Workday's integration tools (e.g.
Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors and Connectors across all HR areas and Web Services) in
conjunction with Workday HCM integration best practices.
Essential Job Functions:

Managing and reporting integration status to project management team on a weekly basis to include
status tracker for all integrations.
Develop integrations utilizing Workday's integration tools (e.g. Workday Studio, EIB, Core
Connectors and Connectors across all HR areas and Web Services).
Working closely with implementation partner and HRT resources to manage overall progress and
sign off integrations.
Facilitating end-to-end integration testing, working closely with the functional teams.
Working with external vendors to provide layouts, requirements gathering, protocols including
internal functional leads to understanding the end-to-end process for integrations.
Knowledge transfer from implementation partner developers to internal resources for ongoing
support of integrations.
Developing reports utilizing Workday Report Designer Tools
Work with implementation partner and HRT internal resources on Authentication and SSO.
Assist in maintaining and test system configurations and workflows.
Provide as needed support for troubleshooting and remediation of technical issues.
Assist with development and reporting efforts in Workday s HCM system.
Create requested documentation supporting system design, development, and testing.
Perform maintenance and development work in a manner that is consistent with company standards
and procedures.
Other related tasks to ensure on-going secure and supported system.
Manage records created and received in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records
Management Policies and Procedures.

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions:
Demonstrated senior level experience with Workday's integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors,
Workday Studio etc.)
Demonstrated experience Workday Report Designer.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing integration projects for workday
implementation, including planning, execution, and risk management.
Technical experience in Workday s HRMS Systems Administration, Configuration andDevelopment.
Workday Technical functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: HR, Payroll,
Benefits, Recruiting or Time Reporting
Collaboration, analytical, and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability working in a collaborative and
transparent environment.
Ability to mentor team members and transfer knowledge to others
Must be technically and functionally oriented (good problem solving and troubleshooting skills),

Qualifications:
7+ years of experience leading/managing integrations, with a proven track record of
delivering complex enterprise integration programs.
7+ years of direct experience in Workday integration development.
7+ years of proven expertise in system auditing for Workday HRMS solution
7+ years of proven expertise in user authentication, user authorization and datasecurity
7+ years of proven development (or application extension) expertise.
7+ years proven experience creating and updating custom reports utilizing the latest
Workday HCM reporting tools.
