Summary: The Principal Workday Implementation Tester will lead and execute critical testing phases for a large-scale Workday implementation, requiring deep expertise in Workday testing and strong regression testing skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Testing Strategy and Execution
  • Own the master test plan and testing approach for End-to-End (E2E), regression, and parallel testing.
  • Ensure environment readiness and coordinate across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop and Execute Test Scripts
  • Create and manage user test scripts aligned with business processes.
  • Execute high-priority tests and validate results for accuracy and compliance.
  • Regression Testing
  • Design and maintain a comprehensive regression suite covering HCM, Financials, Budgeting, and UNA modules.
  • Optimize regression cycles for speed and coverage.
  • Parallel Testing
  • Plan and execute parallel testing cycles, reconcile results, and address variances.
  • Defect Management
  • Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
  • Report testing progress and KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Integration and API Validation
  • Validate standardized API integrations and ensure data accuracy across systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain testing standards and timelines.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of enterprise software testing experience, with 3-5+ years in Workday.
  • Completed at least one full Workday implementation.
  • Strong expertise in regression testing and multi-workstream coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM and Financials; familiarity with Budgeting and UNA modules.
  • Proficiency with testing tools and defect management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Workday certifications (HCM, Financials, Integration) preferred.
  • Experience with parallel testing for payroll or financial processes preferred.
