Summary: The UI Programmer role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on developing high-quality code for video game projects, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and mentorship within a remote working environment in the UK. The position requires expertise in various programming languages and technologies, particularly in Unreal Engine 5 and front-end development. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the development pipeline while fostering a supportive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high quality and reliable code on a timely basis
- Occasionally oversee and mentor junior engineers on the team
- Be hands-on with code, implementing features and attending to bug fixes as needed
- Working closely with other disciplines collaboratively on your project
- Collaborate with teams to deliver testable builds in regular fashion
- Be proactive in tackling technical issues
Key Skills:
- Experience in UE5
- Advanced knowledge of C++ and/or C#
- Experience in PC and/or console programming
- Experience with Coherent Gameface (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS integration into UE) OR similar embedded web-UI tech in games
- Strong front-end skills: HTML5, modern JavaScript, CSS3 (including animations/transforms)
- Experience binding game data to UI and optimizing for real-time performance
- Desirables: UE Blueprints

Requirements

- Strong front-end skills: HTML5, modern JavaScript, CSS3 (including animations/transforms)
- Experience binding game data to UI and optimizing for real-time performance
