Summary: The HL7/FHIR Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing healthcare data integrations using HL7 and FHIR standards, with a focus on migrating clinical data from CCD/CCDA to FHIR. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure effective EHR data exchange and the development of RESTful FHIR APIs. This position is fully remote and is expected to last for over 12 months. The consultant should have extensive experience in HL7 messaging and FHIR migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement healthcare data integrations using HL7 (v2/v3) and FHIR standards
- Lead or support migration from CCD/CCDA to FHIR, ensuring clinical and technical accuracy
- Map and transform clinical data into FHIR-compliant resources
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless EHR data exchange
- Build or enhance RESTful FHIR APIs to support clinical workflows and third-party integrations
Key Skills:
- 5+ years working with HL7 (v2/v3) messages (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU)
