Senior Sterling Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is looking for multiple Senior and Lead Sterling Engineers to join the team.

Overview:
This person will be supporting the COM group (Customer Order Management) and will be supporting the retirement of legacy applications as well as sterling implementation/upgrade. This team manages all the all the orders (online, in person, etc.) as well as the way orders are processed and fulfilled, which is all built on top of sterling. They also manage all the financial transactions for all the vendors they work with. Their entire system is built on IBM sterling OMS and they continue to upgrade to the latest versions and add in new configurations etc. They do coding within sterling written in Java (dom parsing) and although Java is not a must have, it is a big plus. They really need someone who is pure sterling at their core and can pick up the other tools and technologies. Everything else within COM is built on Java/Spring boot and running on PCF/Google Cloud Platform, Kafka and pubsub. They also use TDD for testing (various frameworks including Junit) and CI/CD using Jenkins/Concourse.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4-15 years of experience
* Heavy IBM Sterling OMS experience
* Need development experience within sterling
* Java experience
* Ultimately, they need a sterling expert who is a strong problem solver and understands Java and dom parsing
* Spring boot a plus
* Cloud (Google Cloud Platform) a plus
* Kafka (or similar, RabbitMQ, etc.) a plus
* Strong communication and able to work with stakeholders
* If they have any experience with spring boot and other java technologies is a big plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
