Summary: The Senior ServiceNow Consultant role involves leading complex Software Asset Management (SAM) and ServiceNow SAM Pro projects for enterprise clients within a leading consultancy. The consultant will provide expert guidance on SAM processes, manage audit defence engagements, and mentor junior team members. This position is remote and requires strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders. The contract is for six months and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and operational SAM services on the ServiceNow SAM Pro platform.
  • Manage audit defence engagements for a variety of publishers.
  • Understand and implement SAM processes and integrate them with other business areas.
  • Conduct SAM maturity assessments and implement improvements.
  • Manage workstreams, projects, and deliveries in a BAU (Business As Usual) context.
  • Deliver projects and deliverables in line with Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of methodology and delivery quality.
  • Scope assessments and schedule deliveries for clients.
  • Provide specialist guidance to senior client stakeholders on processes, maturity, and vendor licensing.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and maintain ongoing engagement.
  • Serve as the point of contact for complex license scenarios and technical design projects.
  • Create and deliver tier 1 and complex tier 2 vendor effective license positions (ELPs).
  • Develop senior-level presentations.
  • Create risk remediation and opportunity realisation plans aligned to the client's business strategy.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience as a ServiceNow Consultant in the Software Asset Management industry.
  • Experience implementing and managing ServiceNow SAM Pro.
  • Proven experience with audit defence engagements.
  • Experience with at least one tier 1 vendor (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, IBM).
  • Strong multi-vendor experience across software vendors.
  • Experience in end-to-end ELP creation and delivery.
  • Experience in SAM process and maturity assessments.
  • Strong senior-level presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and providing consultancy services.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
